Campfire Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches
Hey Friends, I hope you love this recipe for your campfires this summer. This recipe will cost you around $30.00 for all the ingredients including the aluminum foil. The portions are generous. Should feed 5 easily.
See you around the campfire! -Julie

Campfire Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich
I found this wonderful recipe on Pinterest from the menu of To & Fro. Recipe and photo credit goes to them.
Serves: 5
Ingredients:
1 large loaf of fresh bread, such as a French loaf or cheese bread
2 cups cooked onions, sliced (optional)
2 cups cooked peppers, sliced (optional)
Sliced roast beef 1.5 to 2 lbs.
Provolone cheese 1lbs
Heavy duty tin foil
Directions:
Slice up your peppers and onions and enclose in a tin foil pouch. Spray tin foil with non stick spray or add butter to them. Place them on the grill or hot coals for 10 min. Until the onions are translucent and peepers are soft.
Slice up bread 3/4 of the way thru in inch sections. Add a slice of cheese and torn up roast beef to each section. Add your onions and peepers as well. Wrap the whole loaf in tin foil. I would suggest 2 layers of tin foil to prevent leakage. Make sure all of the seems are folded.
Cook for about 30 minutes on the grill or hot coals. Not directly in the fire. Flip after 15 minutes.
Cut into sections and enjoy!
